Ok so this is my first official blog post that I have done and oh boy am I getting thrown into the deep end of the pool without my water wings on. I am officially being interviewed by SSG and I have to admit I have not answered questions this tough since I was last up for parole and I was before the committee.....ok I really can't back that up...I have never even had a speeding ticket(looking for wood to knock on).1) Since you're new on the blogging scene, tell us what made you decide to open yourself up to all of us crazies.Well I didn't want to keep the rest of the world from knowing me. I mean it just was not fair!!...haha. Ok, no, really I had so much fun reading my sister's post and every one's posts that she keeps up with, that I wanted to get in on the action. I enjoy getting to know different people from all over and hear about their thoughts and experiences. I have to admit that I find myself laughing out loud reading some of the posts.2) I noticed a microphone in one of those pictures. Are you in a band? Or were you busting a little karaoke action? Are you a closet "I Will Survive" singer? (is TOO one question)Good question. I'm currently trying out for a band that's located in Richmond/L.A and that's pretty exciting for me. I spent 7 hours in the studio last Thursday recording one song. To say that I was exhausted after that is an understatement. Who knew it could be so hard singing the same song over and over again. My sis has a copy of the recording and I know she wants to put it on her blog, but I have to get permission from my producer and band manager before that can happen. Singing professionally is a dream of mine and it seems like right now things are heading in that direction, but it's kinda like walking up that icy hill sometimes. As for the whole karaoke thing.....I'm an addict. Usually the quickest way for my friends to get me out sometimes is to mention a little karaoke action. I have yet to sing "I Will Survive" though. Usually by the time it's my turn on the mic, some group of drunk girls(probably not old enough to be there anyways) has managed to butcher the song so much that all you can manage to make out is a few words in the chorus.
3) You get home tonight and your favorite meal has been prepared for you. What is it? And what will you be drinking with it?Well this answer made me think a little while and smoke a cigarette(yes I know they are bad for me and probably stunt my growth). The thing is, I have 2 favorite meals depending on the season. When it's cold outside I love a great chicken parmigiana and with that I like a nice Shiraz with that. Not too dry and not too sweet. I knew nothing about wine until I was with the last girl I dated and actually came to enjoy it very much.....the wine that is...not dating her. During the warmer months I love just normal everyday burgers on the grill with all of the other fixin's you have at a cook-out. Of course there is nothing that goes better with that than some ice cold beer or maybe an ice cold shot of jaeger.......or um ice tea(for bellamomma's sake)4) So you (and your sister) have mentioned that you're a former baseball player, possible potential firefighter. Tell SSG ... I mean ahem, your readers ... more about that.So what do you.....uh....um....I mean the reader's wanna know? Well I played baseball all of my childhood and ended up playing in high school. After that I played in college, but then I hung up my cleats. There is a 28 and over league here that I would love to play in this spring. I really do miss the adrenaline of competitive sports. It's something that I would love to start doing again. Oh, I played center field....haha I forgot to mention that tid-bit of information The whole firefighter thing still kinda leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Here is how it all broke down for me. I spent the better part of a summer running and getting myself in shape for the physical portion of the testing and even went to the course that they have and practiced every chance I had. When it came time for the testing I got a 112 out of a possible 114 on the written portion(please hold your applause). That was really the only part that I was even nervous about because I knew that I had the physical part in the bag after all of the practice that I had. So the first part of the physical test involved an obstacle course that involved dragging hoses and carrying 150lb dummy and a bunch of running. Well, you had to do it in 4 minutes.....I did it in 2 and 1/2 minutes and I knew that all that was left was the easy stuff. Next they put you in full gear and give you a gas mask that is totally blacked out and take you up to the 3rd floor of the building and you have to find your way out........I need to mention again that you can't see a thing. Well, I did that just fine. The last part and the easiest for me was the ladder climb. It was a 75ft ladder at a 45 degree. All you had to do was climb to the top and make sure to touch every ladder rung with your hand. Well I climbed all the way to the top and leaned over the edge. I get to the bottom and they tell me to try again next year. Apparently I didn't touch the top rung with my hand....only my waist....Needless to say I was a little pissed.5) And for all of the ladies (and probably a few guys), that I'm SURE will be coming your way VERY SOON. Are you single?
Haha, yes I'm single. I have to admit I have not had the best luck with the girls I have dated lately. They start out awesome and then the mask comes off. I don't know if I fed them after midnight or what. I think I'm gonna give up on these crazy Richmond girls. I think I might have dated your Uncle's former girlfriend....she sure does sound familiar...haha
